Nestled along the tranquil banks of the Lower Orange River,
Red Rock River Camp is a serene eco-campsite in the heart of the Namaqualand.
Set in the breathtaking Khai-Ma district.
Surrounded by vast desert beauty and rugged cliffs, the camp invites you to unwind beneath big shady trees and savor the pure magic of the river.
Powered entirely by solar energy, we harness the sun to provide electricity for lights and essential needs, ensuring a low-impact stay.
While we’re proud to supply this green energy, we do ask guests to note that no heating elements or air conditioning are available.
Take a dip in our plunge pool, relax on the deck overlooking the mighty Orange River and vast landscape of Namibia, conveniently located 500m downstream from the Onseepkans Border Post RSA.
Step onto the riverbank for day rafting adventures or cast a line for a peaceful fishing escape.
Our lush vegetable garden, shady trees, and clean bathroom facilities—complete with ladies' and gents' restrooms, plus outdoor showers under the stars—add comfort to your off-grid adventure.

At our base camp, we offer a variety of charming camping spots, each with its own boma fire pit—perfect for a cozy braai under the stars.
Guests enjoy daily hot showers, well-maintained ladies’ and gents’ facilities, and a lush green lawn shaded by big trees—a paradise for birdwatching.
Relax on the deck or cool down in our Plunge Pool, both overlooking the river as it stretches toward Namibia’s vast landscape—your perfect riverside escape.

We also offer guests the chance to enhance their stay with a day rafting adventure. After camping at our base, you can join a guided rafting trip down the river. We’ll take you from camp, drifting 10 kilometers of stunning river scenery, as you paddle past desert cliffs and experience exciting rapids.

Embark on a magical day fishing drift along one of the most spectacular sections of the Orange River.
Starting from our base camp at Red Rock River Camp, you'll drift 10 kilometers of pristine, crystal-clear water, surrounded by the untouched beauty of Namaqualand’s desert landscape. As you float downstream, you'll have ample time to cast your line for prized catches like Smallmouth & Largemouth Yellowfish.
Midway, we’ll stop for a leisurely lunch on the riverbanks, where a beautifully set Bedouin tent awaits.
Relax in comfort on plush chairs, with a hand-crafted feast laid out on a elegant table, prepared by our local fisherman guides.
After lunch, continue your drift, soaking in the breathtaking cliffs and wide-open skies. This full-day experience offers both relaxation and the thrill of the catch, all wrapped in the beauty of the Orange River.
